These were books written by Shigeru Kayano who was born and raised in this area. They have been read by many people for understanding the Ainu. Also, these have helped researchers as reference documents. ” (Honou no uma)” was translated into English and titled “Our Land Was a Forest (Ainu no hi)” also was published in English in the U.S. in 1993.
